FREEDOM UHD with ultra-high resolution. The brand-new FREEDOM UHD scanner is a premium dental device equipped with high-performance UHD (Ultra High-Definition) resolution and DOF’s patented camera movement technology. The camera movement system refers to the scanning method, whereby the camera moves whilst scanning. The FREEDOM UHD’s 5.0 MP camera ensures the sharpest edge definition. The benefits of the 5.0 MP camera are evident in all prosthetic cases, from small inlays to full upper and lower jaw cases.
Equipped with a 5-megapixel sensor, this camera sets a new standard for capturing fine detail and colour reproduction across a wide dynamic range. This USB 3.0 industrial camera delivers excellent, low-noise performance and high-quality images at frame rates of up to 36 frames per second.

By flipping an impression and scanning the upper jaw, DOF’s proprietary target-scanning technology enables even narrow and deep impressions to be scanned and automatically aligned with the front and rear, as well as the upper and lower jaw scan data.
Dental examination involving the scanning of internal and external surfaces
Simply placing the existing dentures on the plate allows the scanner to scan and merge both the inner and outer surfaces. This makes it easy and convenient to scan dentures, and existing dentures can be replicated quickly.
Interdental scanning to obtain distortion-free data of the interdental region
The interproximal scanning function is suitable not only for the fabrication of orthodontic appliances, but also for general prostheses and partial dentures, as well as for acquiring distortion-free data of the interdental region. By combining data from primary and secondary scans, it is possible to scan right up to the marginal area. This is extremely useful for the fabrication of orthodontic appliances, full dentures and partial dentures.
